let's make your brand pop
- in all the right ways.
Strategic brand and web design for founders, professionals, and organizations ready to show up with clarity, confidence, and impact. Whether you’re building something new, reimagining your brand, or finally ready for a website that truly works for you, I’m so glad you’re considering me as part of your journey.

I work with founders, professionals, and organizations at every stage;
whether you’re starting from scratch and want to get it right from day one, or you’ve been in business for a while and your brand hasn’t kept up with your growth.
Maybe you’re just launching and you refuse to start with something that looks thrown together. Or maybe you started with a quick logo and a simple website just to get things going; and that worked for a while.
But now your business is bigger. Your ideas are bolder.
And your visuals? They’re not keeping up.
That’s where Design by January comes in as your creative partner.
Through a thoughtful and strategic design process, I help you build
a brand that feels clear, confident, and built for the long term
— whether you’re building it for the first time or finally doing it right.
The goal isn’t just to make things look good. It’s to create a brand that builds trust, attracts the right audience, and helps your business show up with the confidence it deserves.
The result?
A brand that looks as professional, intentional, and powerful as
the business you’re building.

if this sounds

Questions

Short answer: No.
I don’t create standalone logos because a logo alone isn’t a brand.
A strong brand includes strategy, typography, color systems, supporting graphics, and clear visual direction. Designing a logo without that foundation often leads to brands that feel inconsistent or quickly outgrown.
Instead, I focus on brand identity packages that ensure your business has a cohesive and flexible visual system that works across your website, social media, marketing materials, and future growth.
If you’re just getting started and need guidance, I can recommend the right brand package to support where your business is now and where it’s going.
Timelines vary depending on the scope:
• Brand identity: 3–5 weeks
• Brand + website: 5–8 weeks
• Website for established brands: 3–5 weeksExact timelines are discussed before the project begins.
Design by January projects typically start at:
• Brand identity packages: starting at $1,500+
• Website design: starting at $2,500+• Social media package: starting at $525+
• One-off design projects: starting at $125+
Final pricing depends on the scope of the project.
Yes. Most projects are split into 2–3 payments throughout the project timeline.
A deposit is required to secure your project in the schedule.
Occasionally, depending on availability.
Rush projects require an additional rush fee (+25%) and must fit within the studio schedule.
Not at all.
Many clients come to Design by January with an idea, a vision, or a business that has outgrown its current brand — but they don’t always have every detail figured out yet.
That’s completely normal. Part of the process is helping you clarify your brand, define your visual direction, and translate your goals into a cohesive design system.
The most helpful things to have before reaching out are:
• A general understanding of your business or offering
• An idea of who your audience is
• A sense that you’re ready to invest in building your brand intentionally
From there, we’ll work together to shape the rest.
Once you submit the form, I’ll take some time to review your responses and learn a bit more about your project. You can expect to hear back within 2–3 business days. From there, if it seems like we might be a good fit, I’ll invite you to schedule a casual coffee chat over Zoom or we can continue the conversation over email — whatever feels more comfortable for you.
There’s no pressure to commit during this stage. It’s simply a chance for us to talk through your ideas, see if the collaboration feels right, and answer any questions you might have.
If everything aligns, I’ll follow up with a proposal and a suggested timeline for the project.
Design by January intentionally takes on a limited number of projects at a time to ensure every client receives thoughtful attention, strategic thinking, and high-quality design. Rather than rushing through multiple projects, the focus is on creating work that is intentional, collaborative, and built to last.
Design by January is also a small, independent studio run by a working art director.
Because I work full-time in the creative advertising industry, most client communication and project work happens during evenings and weekends.
This means responses may not always be immediate during the workday, but every project receives focused, dedicated time outside of my 9–5 hours.
Because of this approach, availability can be limited and projects are often scheduled in advance. If you're considering working together, it’s always a good idea to reach out early. And if your project has a tight deadline, feel free to mention it in your inquiry and we can see if the timeline is feasible.
Our process typically includes:
-
Discovery & strategy – understanding your business, audience, and goals
-
Creative direction – defining visual direction and brand personality
-
Design development – creating your brand identity or website
-
Refinement – feedback and revisions
-
Launch & delivery – final files and guidance for using your new brand
Each project is collaborative but guided by a clear creative strategy.

Most websites are built on Wix, which allows clients to easily manage and update their sites after launch.
You’ll receive guidance on how to edit and maintain your website.
Yes — as long as your brand identity and assets are already established.
If your brand also needs updating, we may recommend a brand refresh before redesigning the site.
Because design is a collaborative and time-intensive process, Design by January does not offer refunds once a project has begun.
Before any work starts, you’ll receive a proposal, project scope, and timeline so you have a clear understanding of what to expect. This helps ensure we’re aligned before moving forward.
If at any point during the process something feels unclear, open communication is always encouraged. The goal is to create a collaborative experience and deliver work that you feel confident and excited about.
If you have questions before committing, you’re always welcome to ask during the inquiry stage or coffee chat — there’s no pressure to move forward until you feel ready.
